 The origins of the Red Cedar Coffee Company extend back to 1963 when company founder Larry Denton relocated from Michigan to Mexico. Over the next few decades Larry traveled and made his home in the coffee growing regions of Mexico, Venezuela and Brazil, where his expertise in coffee began to develop. Family vacations would include trips to Veracruz, Oaxaca, Valencia, and Sao Paulo – areas steeped in ages-old traditions of coffee farming.
Larry spent the next thirty years refining his palate and learning the secrets of fine coffee selection, roasting and blending to enhance flavor and enjoyment. Red Cedar Coffee was born when Larry began roasting his own beans in small batches to ensure freshness and perfection. We have continued our tradition of traveling to origin, spending time in the coffee growing regions of Indonesia and South America. We are proud to bring these fine coffees home for our customers to savor, from our family to yours.
