Limited Time: Fair Trade Certified Organic Guatemala Huehuetenango

Our Organic Guatemala Huehuetenango (pronounced “way-way-tenango”) is grown in the highlands of western Guatemala. The cooperative offers women’s programs focusing on nutrition, and work and business training.

Certified bird-friendly by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center (SMBC), this coffee is also Fair Trade Certified organic.

About the cooperative: Guaya’n cooperative finances medical insurance for members and their families. Members have access to low interest micro loans. Additional income to members comes from selling fruits and peppers.

We will be releasing our Fair Trade Certified Organic Guatemala Huehuetenango at our Saturday, October 7, 2017, Coffee Tasting. This coffee will be available for a limited time only.

Fair Trade Certified Organic Nicaraguan Madriz

If you have been in the Red Cedar Coffee Co tasting room you may have recently noticed a new coffee. If you haven’t, you don’t know what you’re missing!

For a limited time, we are roasting our Fair Trade Certified Organic Nicaraguan Madriz. The cooperative that produced this organic coffee is called 25 de Marzo and is located in the San Juan del Rio Coco region of Madriz in northern Nicaragua. The cooperative has 49 members, fifteen of whom are women.

Fair trade producers commit to protecting the environment and social causes. Fair Trade workers receive sustainable wages, representation, safe working conditions, access to education and health care.
